Public Display of Affection, Grammys

We have a show tonight at Spaceland with Enon and Mellowdrone.

As has been AAnchors AAweigh tradition, a new song will premier as well as many of your favorite unknown classics. Titles TK.

As you can see by the photo, we've already won a Grammy for all of our hard work.

We drink from it.

Godspeed,

Names, Numbers, Signs, and the Future...

It has been brought to our attention that we've incorrectly identified the myriad members of AAnchors AAweigh on this blog. Let's take one last (correct) look at these Hall of Famers before they all die:

Nathaniel Fregoso- Deadbeat Dad, Sagittarius:
Maria Silver- Swashbuckler...Currently M.I.A., Virgo:Jordan Benik- Pimp, Aries:
Bill Eidenback- Playa, Taurus:
Dyan Valdes- British, Cancer:
Justin Raisen- Session Man, Aries:
Tonight we play with The Wombats and Coco B's at Spaceland. Despite the absence of our fantastic drummer Maria Silver (currently on tour with The Ettes...oh the plight of the Supergroup!) we have no words to describe how face meltingly rad the show is going to be tonight. Actually, Jordan gave us two words. "Rainbow Feel." Rainbow. Feel.

We are having more fun than you...

We needed someone to play piano for us who is better than Randy Newman. His name is Jordan Davis. He looks like this:
And sometimes like this:We needed someone to play organ for us. Someone telepathic. Her name is Dyan Valdes and she looks like this:

And then like this:We needed someone to play the bass guitar better than Bill Wyman. We got Bill Eidenback. He ALWAYS looks like this:
Show tonight at Bordello. There will be blood.

Show Number 1, Guest Stars, Tinnitus

Tempo No Tempo asked us to open for them this Sunday, January 6th at the Knitting Factory. What fine gentleman! Such exquisite taste!

The Histories are also playing, but we can't find anything about them except this. Not bad!

Tickets are only $5!!!!!!! It's our first show!!!!!

To make things more confusing, we're welcoming the latest addition to AAnchors AAweigh, the Sound of Silver herself...Maria Golden:

Beware the stage on Sunday! She's more dangerous than that crazy tiger.

We may have a few additional guests. We may not.

Nathaniel has tendinitis. As a result, there may be unfocused acrobatics in a daring attempt at misdirection.

Oh yeah this is our first show. We made it!

LP 1, Business, Minx

We are continuing to write songs for LP 1. How divine! There are 14 completed songs, not including covers, but we still have a few more to write before we hit our stride. In the meantime, work work work and no sleep.

To all fans and detractors! We're officially open for business! So please, book AAnchors AAweigh for your weddings, funerals, sleepovers, and rock and roll clubs. We'd even open for No Age. Send us a message on Myspace and hurry to the ATM as we only accept cash.

The featured photos are of Nathaniel dressed as a minx from last weekend.
